Singapore Hosts “Sina Ba Sina” Dialogue — Sufi Musafir Haji Syed Salman Chishty Ignites Souls in a Heart to Heart Gathering at The Vagabond Club
Singapore, 2 June 2026 — At The Vagabond Club, Singapore, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel on Syed Alwi Road, something special occurred on the evening of 1 June 2026. Business leaders, diplomats, philanthropists, wellness practitioners, and humble seeking hearts gathered in one room and, for a few luminous hours, the noise of a divided world grew still. The occasion was Sina Ba Sina: Heart to Heart, an intimate spiritual dialogue featuring Sufi Musafir Haji Syed Salman Chishty, 26th Generation Gaddi Nashin of Dargah Ajmer Sharif and Chairman of Chishty Foundation, India. Carrying an unbroken lineage of eight centuries, Haji Chishty arrived not as a visiting dignitary alone, but as a living vessel of the Chishty teaching: that love is not sentiment, it is a discipline, a path, and a noble answer. Moderated with grace and intellectual depth by Harpreet Bedi Garcha, Chief Executive Officer, Garcha Group, the gathering drew diplomats, corporate leaders, wellness experts, and philanthropists. Mr. Ajay Singh, First Secretary at the Indian High Commission in Singapore, lent the evening its diplomatic distinction. The Vagabond Club, known for its longstanding support of arts, culture, and creative community, proved a natural home for an evening of cross-civilisational dialogue and spiritual transmission. “The world is not broken because of a lack of information, it is fractured because of a lack of presence. When one heart truly meets another, without agenda, without armour, that is Sufi path to Spirituality for seeking hearts. That is the teaching of Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (r). Come not to learn about love, come to become it.” — Sufi Musafir Haji Syed Salman Chishty “When I first heard the phrase Sina Ba Sina — heart to heart — I thought I understood it. Tonight, sitting in this room, I felt it. That is the difference Haji Syed Salman Chishty carries with him. He does not lecture, he transmits. Singapore is a city that has built bridges across every civilisation and tonight, that bridge went inward. The Vagabond Club has always brought together people from all walks of life through creativity, culture and conversation. Over the years, we have welcomed artists, musicians, writers, travellers and thinkers from around the world, creating a space for meaningful exchange and connection. It was a privilege to host Haji Syed Salman Chishty and this remarkable gathering. The spirit of Sina Ba Sina felt particularly at home at The Vagabond Club, where we believe the most memorable experiences often begin by bringing people together and creating space for genuine human connection." — Harpreet Bedi Garcha, Chief Executive Officer, Garcha Group On the journey: “A Musafir never arrives, that is the beauty of the path. Wherever seeking hearts gather, the noble fragrance is already there. We simply follow that fragrance. On lineage: “It is a sacred trust, like a glowing Sun, a flowing River, a welcoming Earth. The lineage does not belong to us. We are a hollow reed, as Rumi says. The music belongs to the Beloved.” On a divided world: “Love Towards All, Malice Towards None. Apply it honestly to one difficult relationship and the walls dissolve. Not because the other person changes, because you do.” On modern life: “Silence. Learn the language of Silence. Be in Gratitude when you wake, Patience before you sleep. Sufism does not ask you to leave the world. It asks you to be fully present within it.” Haji Chishty brought the evening to a close with Rumi’s eternal invitation: “Come, come, whoever you are come, Come, even if you have broken your vows a thousand times. Ours doors are not the door of despair, Our doors are the door of Hope, Hope and Hope.” Drawing from the world’s great wisdom traditions, he wove a light of convergence: the Quranic Al-Khalqu Ayalullah — all creation is the family of God; the Indic Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the whole world is one family; the Sufi Wahdat al-Wujud — the Unity of Being; the Sanatan Advaita Vedanta — the non-duality of all existence; and the Sikh Awwal Noor, Ek Noor, Ek Onkar — One Light, One God, One Creation. “These are not different roads,” he said quietly. “They are different languages describing the same river — flowing toward one ocean. Love.” The Meet & Greet that followed extended well beyond its scheduled time — many in the room moved to tears, others to silence, all touched.
